1. Who we are

This Chrome extension (“the Extension”) is published by PropGain UK Limited (“we”, “our”, “PropGain”), a company registered in Scotland.

2. What data the Extension processes

The Extension processes only the following data, and only on your own device:

That is the complete list of what the Extension reads or writes. We do not collect your name, email, IP address, browsing history, device identifiers, cookies, or anything else.

3. What the Extension does NOT do

Does not read any website you visit (it has no permission to)
Does not send any data to PropGain’s servers
Does not send any data to any third-party server
Does not contain any analytics, telemetry, or tracking code
Does not display advertisements
Does not read cookies, local storage, or session data from any website
Does not modify any web page you visit
Does not share or sell any data to third parties
Does not use your data for advertising, profiling, or credit-scoring

We can make these guarantees because the Extension is architecturally incapable of doing any of the above — it has no network code in it, and as of v1.6 has no permissions to read, modify, or even see the contents of any tab.

4. Permissions explained

storage — Allows the Extension to remember your last-used values and theme preference between sessions, stored only on your own device.
sidePanel — Allows the Extension to display the calculator as a docked side panel rather than a transient popup.

That is the entire permission set. The Extension does not request any host permissions and cannot read any website you visit.

5. Third-party services

The Extension itself does not integrate with any third-party services.

The Extension displays a link labelled “Compare ↑” which, if clicked, opens myleasehold.co.uk’s lease extension calculator in a new tab. This is a simple hyperlink — no data is passed to myleasehold. Your interaction with their website is governed by their own privacy policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because the Extension stores data only on your own device, you are in complete control of it at all times. To delete all data:

Click Reset in the side panel, or
Right-click the extension icon → Remove from Chrome (uninstalls the extension and clears all stored data).

We have no copies of your data on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

7. Children’s privacy

The Extension is intended for use by adult property professionals and investors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

8. Your rights under UK GDPR

Because we do not collect or process any personal data, the standard data subject rights do not produce any data on our side that we could act on. Your data stays on your device. If you have questions about this, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the Extension handles data, we will update this policy and bump the “Last updated” date at the top.
